Marvel Studios has found its Wonder Man as Yahya Abdul-Mateen II

Marvel Studios have casted Yahya Abdul-Mateen II for the role of Wonder Man for their upcoming series on Disney Plus.
Yahya previously belonged to another underwater world in DC Universe’s, Aquaman.

Earlier, Marvel Studios had allotted Destin Daniel Cretton (director of Shang Chi) to direct the series, along with the scriptwriter as Andrew Guest (scriptwriter of Hawkeye). Ben Kingsley will be reprising his role as Trevor Slattery in the series.

In the comics, Simon Williams is an actor by day and an Ion based superpowered Avenger by night. We don’t know yet how he will be introduced in the MCU as there has been a mutant uprising in the entire MCU and how wasn’t he spotted before if he had such powers. Wonder Man is also one of the oldest characters in the Marvel who made his first appearance in the comics in year 1964, in the issue #9 of Avengers comics.
